i am pretty new to LA - and drive thru thai town almost everyday.
i seem to hear a lot about how great the thai food is in the valley - but i hardly every get over there. meanwhile, it seems like i pass hundreds of thai restaurants every day - in silver lake, thai town and hollywood.
anyone have any recommendations?
peace

Re: best thai food in LA?
Tue, June 13, 2006 - 2:38 PMI like Palms in Thai town. The food is pretty close to authentic as you can get, PLUS, on Friday nights, you get cheesy performances by Thai Elvis.
It's a lot of fun to be eating with a thai guy with a big bouffant singing "Are You Lonesome Tonight" on stage... -

Tue, June 13, 2006 - 2:40 PMMy favorite place is Chao Krung at 111 N. Fairfax (across from CBS studios, next to the Grove). The food is great, and it's small and romantic in the evenings.
